Light in the Shadows

Amidst the mourning, there are rays of pure light. Like when I saw Ryan riding the tractor down the lane for the first time. Like when Vivienne swings tirelessly on the tire swing. Like when Lia does, well, just about anything. My life surrounded by such beloved people. After all of the loving and heartache that goes on in a lifetime, may we all savor the treasure that hides behind, “made in the image of God”.

I love to see my sister living her dream with her beautiful family! Vivi’s smile is one of hope, joy and peace. My prayer is that you are filled with all of these as you face the days ahead.

I can’t remember how I got here originally, but I’ve been lovin’ your blog. Your title and tagline are simplistically profound and immediately drew me in.

I am subscribed for more. :)

Laura – I am reminded of these lyrics, and how you DO trust Him at ALL times! I am so thankful that you have the strength, shield, deliverance and help of the Lord in time of need. I marvel at your willingness, even in the darkest hours, to for a moment let your heart be glad with the goodness, with the beautiful faces, with the joy around you, may this joy find and fill you, even in your sadness.

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
And I will not be moved, and I’ll say of the Lord

You are my Shield, my Strength
    My Portion, Deliverer
    My Shelter, Strong Tower
My very present help in time of need

among tears and sadness, quiet moments and pillow time talks—-there is Joy in your home and you are blessed, my friend. Truly blessed.

I can see it in all of their faces. Great pics ;)
