Hi Laura!
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching your vlogs. You have such great practical parenting tips! Looking forward to meeting you at Relevant! : )
Love this!! So true & encouraging! I’m so glad to find your blog & can’t wait to get to know you better @ Relevant in a couple of weeks (& glad you’ll be my roomie!)
This really speaks to my heart and where I’m at with my kids. I have HUGE wounds from my growing up years with my mom…I see myself falling into the same selfish ways…I don’t want to cast that on my daughters. Thank you for such a wonderful post. It is such a encouragement to me. I need to forgive my mom just as I would want my girls to forgive me…Thank you. Soli Deo Gloria
oh, PERFECT TIMING! I so need to teach them this lesson—to forgive me. What a great reminder! Oh, how painful it is realizing your imperfect in the eyes of your children….this required a humble heart.
What a lovely, thoughtful post! The message crosses parenting borders into plain old relationship disappointments…with spouses, neighbors, friends, pastors…and even government officials!
Thank you!
What a comfort this post is to me. It always breaks me whenever I see how I’ve hurt my daughter – or forget her – and I just find myself crying out to God to protect her from me and help make me better. But after watching this – Eureka! Teaching my daughter to forgive me and turn to Jesus for comfort will be my alternative to wallowing in self-pity or being paralyzed with fear that I’ll forever cause her pain. So thank you, Laura. I thank God for the great encouragement your blog has been to me.
