Yes, you’d hope I would have known!
But, I needed a little brush-up.
Once I started to do some serious praying and reading on the subject, I discovered some truths about our role being much much more than I ever imagined.
Perhaps this is old news to you, but did you know that we are actually created to be strong military aid for our husbands??
When you have a good five minutes, I’d love to share with you what I discovered:
Can’t wait to get your hands on Carolyn Custis James’ book, eh? I don’t blame you! Find it here.

As a young wife I’m enjoying these posts and soaking up all that you have to share about marriage! I think I’ll really enjoy this book.
Can you help me? I’ve attempted multiple times since you’ve moved to follow your blog by clicking on the subscribe button, but each time I do a note pops up talking about how you’ve moved but it won’t let me subscribe. Help!
Natasha,

If that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll get my computer-genius-husband on the case right away!
Wow!! Laura, what an awesome thought! Really needed that – thanks for sharing, friend!
Laura, how can I give a hearty enough AMEN to your words!!! This is my first time to your blog and I have never heard this “view” of being a “helpmeet.” WOW! POWERFUL my dear sister in the Lord!
And, as the wife of an officer in the military, who is currently deployed, this hit home in an even deeper way. Thank you again and may you continue to share this powerful, much-needed message!

I am going to get my book out and dust it off…
What tremendous insight! Thanks for your exhortation!
Thank you so much for sharing what a “helpmeet” really is. This is powerful and life-changing information; this is TRUTH! I needed to know this; my husband needed me to know this. Thank you for this series and for your openness in sharing from your heart.
Thanks for sharing and the reminder of the richness in so many part of the book. I am going to have to pull mine off the bookshelf for another read!! Love the picture painted of our role as wives.
Thank you for sharing these posts about how to be a godly wife. I’ve only been married for a year, so I’m soaking this all in and incorporating it into our marriage. I especially liked closing my eyes and envisioning myself in the various roles, as you suggested in this video clip. What a powerful tool! I was able to see myself in those different roles with my husband, and I’m sure I will return to this video clip in the future to remind myself of what it means to be a godly wife. Blessings to you.
I just found your blog and have been enjoying your vlogs!! This one, especially, jumped out at me. In my years as a Christian, I have never heard helpmeet described this way! I LOVE IT!!!! But WOW do I have far to go!
Thank you for sharing with all of us.
His,

PS- I LOVE the way you have with words! Truly a gift!!
