Planning for Swimming Lessons

With the baby coming soon, I don’t want to commit to weeks of swimming lessons. But, we did buy a membership at our little community pool, where we can swim and watch a field of cows at the same time. So, I wanted some ideas for how to teach the girls myself, so that when we do go the pool, they become stronger swimmers.

I discovered this fantastic site, and thought you might like to grab some ideas, too. Check it out!

I registered my oldest son for swimming lessons during months 6-8 of pregnancy with my second. The boy was 2 and tried to swim away from the safety of my arms and gigantic stomach the entire time.

You are a wise woman. :)

A tip I gained from Ruthie’s swimming lesson with me… if you are trying to teach them to go under water- tell them to hum… and then dip them under in a U shape. The humming will prevent water from going up there nose!!

    :)
